In the spring of 2008, I bought my first DSLR. I had just had my last baby and was anxious to be able to take better snapshots then my point and shoot camera was allowing me to.
I had no intentions of becoming a Professional Photographer but here I am ten years later still doing what I love and creating beautiful imagery.
In April 2012 I had the priviledge of being there for two births of good friends of mine. My life was forever changed on those two days.
In February 2014 I became the first person in Canada to receive Accredition with the Professional Photographer’s of Canada in Birth Photography.
I have since received accreditations in newborn and children portraiture and am working towards more every day.
Births and newborns have a special place in my heart, I will always love capturing the memories of a new baby that will be looked back on and cherished for years to come.
As the years go by and my own children grow older I have begun to realize the importrance of having photographs to look back on, being able to thumb through a photo album and look at my boys photos on the walls of years ago.
A home is where you hang your pictures.
